All four Ugandan male participants suffered defeats against seemingly stronger opponents from across the continent. However, the team remains optimistic about their chances for redemption in the upcoming doubles event at the Borteyman Sports Complex.

Frank Tayebwa led the Ugandan charge but was ultimately defeated by his Algerian counterpart, Kichou Mohammed Slimane, in successive sets of 7-5, 6-1, despite displaying a spirited fight. Saidi Mawa, also a professional golfer, fell swiftly in straight sets of 6-1, 6-1 to Zimbabwean Courtney John Ingram. Trevor Kazibwe encountered a similar fate, being easily dispatched by Kenyan Just Evin Cheruioyot in a night duel with a score of 6-2, 6-1.
