Tournament Details

1. Location: The tournament is held at Lugogo Tennis Complex and Kampala Club Limited.
2. Dates: The Uganda Open will take place from the 10^thto 24 May 2025.
3. Entry Deadline: 8^thMay 2025 at 5:59pm
4. Format: The tournament features singles and doubles competitions for men and women in three categories; juniors, Pro Event (Seniors 18+) and senior veterans.
5. Tournament Referee: Charles Wanyama
6. Prize Money: The total prize money for the Uganda Open is UGX 20M

The Uganda Open is the premier tennis tournament held in Uganda. Open for top players from across the country, region and beyond, this year’s event has been expanded to include; Wheelchair, Junior and Veteran categories of both gender.

History

With a history dating back to the 1980’s and boasting of past winners like; John Oduke, Mugabe Duncan, David Oringa, Renee Killars (Netherlands), Martin Dzuwa (Zimbabwe), Shana Martin Mao (Tanzania) Fadzai Mawisire (Zimbabwe), Ismael Changawa (Kenya). Ismael Changawa and Shana Martin Mao are the defending singles champions.

How to Register?

All players to compete at the open will register through the Uganda Tennis Association tournament website. (ugandatennis.clubspark.net)
